SHOW OUR TROOPS HOW MUCH WE APPRECIATE THEM: OPERATION BOOK DROP

San Antonio, TX. (March 29, 2021) - There are many book drives for children, but this drive is designed to serve our military. Gunn Gives, the volunteer corps of the Gunn Auto Group has teamed up with the national nonprofit OPERATION BOOK DROP for a book drive benefitting our troops.

Each of the five San Antonio area Gunn Auto stores and three collision centers will serve as collection points for the community to drop off gently read books that will be shipped to our brave soldiers, sailors, airmen, Coasties and Marines deployed in combat locations around the world and those recuperating in US veteran’s hospitals.

The drive will be held from Monday, April 5 through Saturday, April 10, our Gunn Gives volunteers will be at all Gunn dealerships and collision centers to take your generous donations.

It’s easy to make an impact, gather your books and drop them off at our showroom or for contactless donation without leaving your car, utilize our Service Department drive-through.

The most sought-after books are Current Affairs, Adult Fiction, Mystery, Horror, Thrillers, True Crime, Biographies, Military History, Past War Books, Travel Guides, American and World History, Investing, Finance, Self-Help, Leadership, Management, Western Fiction, Sci-Fi, and current Medical Textbooks. Puzzle Books, National Geographic magazines and Graphic Comics are welcomed. Please no Romance books.

Once collected, Gunn Gives volunteers will sort, box and ship the books to our military heroes. Our goal is 3,000 books.
